Is that the result you hoped for to start the season?
Yeah definitely, it’s always nice to get off to a good start. Getting a positive result and performance really. I thought we played really well and certainly the new lads. Fantastic you know, first home match, sure there was no fans but it’s still a big thing for them to come and set their standards and we certainly did that.
Halifax rewatched the playoffs last season, is that the aim once again this season?
Yeah definitely of course, obviously learn from last year and certainly the recruitment the manager has brought in. And definitely looking to get playoffs again this season.
Is it still taking time to get used to playing without fans?
Yeah a little bit, it seems strange. The chairmans done great to get the streaming sorted, so hopefully the fans can stay at home and watch it. The weather wasn’t great today so I bet they were happy they were able to do that.
And do you have a message for the fans back at home?
Yeah just obviously thinking about them and hope everybody is safe. We can feel the support and the buzz around the town and certainly even the new lads are mentioning that. It’s good to have that backing but hopefully we can get them back soon.
Your next game here at The Shay is against Yeovil, how do you see that game going?
I guess we’ll see, I can’t really call it this early in the season. We’ve just got to do our homework and look at their strengths and weaknesses and take it from there. We’ve got a couple of games before that and we’ve got to do the same for them too.
