Manchester United star Paul Pogba has been arrested after a training ground bust up with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
This took place on Wednesday 29 November at 9.24am at the Aon Training Complex in Carrington, Greater Manchester.
It has been claimed by witnesses that the pair squared up to each other after a heated exchange.
The pair had been talking together on the way to the training pitches from the dressing rooms for a few minutes before things got out of hand.
Which led to Solskjær pushing Pogba and insulting the French International’s footballing ability. Following this Pogba punched Solskjær in the side of the face and walked off the training fields to the dressing rooms.
Solskjaer gained a nose bleed from the punch he received and everyone rushed to their managers aid.
Brady Barker, Assistant Kit Manager for Manchester United, who witnessed the incident said “it was crazy, I saw the whole thing. One minute they were just taking, then they were arguing like mad. Then Ole pushed Pogs and, and Pogs just lost it, like. He went, wham! Right into the side of the boss’s face. Then blood was everywhere. The boss was on his knees and Pogs stormed off, shouting to himself in French.”
Despite the Norwegian being checked up by the club doctors, he did not need to go to hospital.
A member of staff called the police, who arrived and arrested Pogba.
Detective Superintendent Andrew Barely has commented on the situation.
“I can confirm that Greater Manchester Police were called to the Aon Training Complex after reports of an incident at approximately half-past nine this morning. Manchester United player, Paul Pogba, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and taken to Stretford Police Station for questioning.”
There had been numerous reports of a rift between the Pogba and Solskjær for weeks now before this incident.
